Ethereum commands

Call a command as POST /v1/ethereum/{command}. Coverage: ETH (native and internal transfers, withdrawals, and block-level credits such as rewards) and the ERC-20 tokens of the server’s token whitelist, from the genesis block to max_block. Tokens outside the whitelist, NFTs and failed transactions are not covered.

Address forms: 0x + 40 hex, 40 hex, or a numeric id from resolve. Tron also accepts 0x addresses, so always name the network in the path.

Asset forms (token): eth, a token contract address (0x + 40 hex), or the token’s numeric id from an earlier answer. Symbols such as usdt are refused, and all is not served.

Amounts: topk sums and every trace amount are in the asset’s base units: wei for ETH, 10^-decimals of a token (decimals is in each row’s asset). Divide before you quote: 1,000 ETH is 1e21. neighbors rows also carry str in whole units, and reach answers in whole units. Amounts keep 19 to 20 significant digits; a longer amount (a wei-precise ETH value, an 18-decimal token) is rounded in its last digits, so quote it as approximate.

Command Input targets Weight
info none – light
resolve 1–1,000 addresses or ids – light
neighbors 1 address up to 200 light
topk 1 address up to 200 heavy
trace 1 address – heavy
reach 1–50 seeds (one shared search) up to 50 (one search each) heavy
annotate <block> <tx_index> – light

Heavy commands may wait briefly for a free slot. info, resolve and annotate take no options. trace and reach always load labels.

Transfers of one address over every asset, oldest first.

Option Range When omitted
dir in / out out
offset 0 – 18446744073709551615 0
limit 1 – 1,000 50
last 1 – 1,000 (not with offset or limit) –
no-labels switch labels on
  • There is no token filter: every row names its asset.
  • Rows carry edge_type (native, internal, erc20, withdrawal, or block_level for rewards, genesis and the DAO fork), asset, amount, block and tx_index.
  • last N returns the latest N transfers, the cheap “recent activity” view.

Main counterparties of one address for one asset: sum and count per counterparty.

Option Range When omitted
dir in / out out
token eth, a contract address or an id eth (server)
k 1 – 2,000 20
time-start, time-end 0 – 4294967295 (Unix seconds) whole history
max-scan 1 – 2,000,000 2,000,000 (server)
no-labels switch labels on
  • Rows carry counterparty, asset (id, addr, symbol, decimals), sum_f64 in base units and count. There is no first or last time.
  • A window that holds more than 2,000,000 transfers is refused with guard. An exchange hot wallet holds tens of millions: only a window of days or weeks fits. Find it with neighbors and last first.
  • If rows holds exactly k rows, assume more exist: raise k. scanned_edges is the address’s whole history in that direction.

Follows funds forward from a source, with the same methods and rules as on Tron. See Tracing funds.

Option Range When omitted
method rolling / haircut / fifo / poison rolling
token eth, a contract address or an id eth
hops 1 – 6 3
amount 1 – 1e36 base units the source’s outflow from start-block on
start-block 0 – 4294967295 0
min-taint 1 – 1e36 base units traced amount × 1e-6
stop-labels 1–20 names cex,exchange,mixer,privacy
hub-degree 1 – 50,000 50,000
max-nodes 1 – 10,000 10,000
max-edges 1 – 20,000 20,000 (server)
max-scan 1 – 2,000,000 2,000,000
  • The eth asset covers every kind of ETH transfer: native, internal, withdrawals and block-level credits.
  • On a busy source, pass amount and a start-block near the incident: a total over max-scan cannot come from a partial scan.

Searches outward from one or more seeds for addresses with given labels.

Option Range When omitted
dir in / out in
token eth, a contract address or an id eth
hops 1 – 4 4 (server)
min-edge 0.000001 – 1e15 whole units 1
target-labels 1–20 names (required) –
stop-labels 1–20 names cex,exchange,mixer,privacy
hub-degree 1 – 80,000 80,000
max-nodes 1 – 50,000 50,000 (server)
max-frontier 1 – 2,000 2,000 (server)
max-contacts 1 – 500 500
  • min-edge is in whole units of the asset, so a token outside the whitelist is refused.
  • A contact says the money met, not how much of the seed’s money did (see Tron reach).

Takes one transaction as ["<block>", "<tx_index>"] (from a neighbors row) and returns its signer and time. Trace edges carry block but no tx_index: match them by block, sender and receiver (see Find the transaction hash).

Ethereum labels cover every EVM network: one 0x address labels the same owner everywhere, so a label on Ethereum may come from activity seen on another EVM network.
